Overview

Onten OTN-CS21 HDMI Bi-Directional Switch is a compact, manual hardware selector designed to easily toggle audio and video signals between multiple media devices. It operates via HDMI 2.0 standards, offering plug-and-play functionality without requiring any external power source

  • Interface Standards: Equipped with one upstream HDMI 2.0 port and two downstream HDMI 2.0 ports.
  • Maximum Resolution: Supports up to 4K Ultra HD at 60Hz for ultra-clear visuals, and is backward compatible with 2K and 1080p.
  • Bandwidth Speed: Supports high-speed data transmission up to 18Gbps, reducing signal drop-off.
  • Power Delivery: Completely passive architecture (No external power required) that runs off a tiny 15mA draw from the connected HDMI lines

  • Dual-Mode Operational Layout

Because this device is bi-directional, it can be set up in one of two different ways using the manual button on top.

    1. 2×1 Switch Mode (Multi-Input to Single Display)

Connect two different media sources to a single monitor or TV. This prevents wear-and-tear damage on your display ports caused by constant cable swapping.

    • Example Setup: Connect both a PlayStation 5 and a laptop to one TV. Toggle between gaming and working at the press of a button.

    2. 1×2 Splitter Mode (Single Input to Multi-Display)

Connect one media source to two different display screens

    Device Compatibility

The Onten OTN-CS21 features universal compatibility with standard HDMI electronics:

    • Input Sources: Desktop PCs, laptops, gaming consoles (Xbox, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch), streaming sticks (Fire Stick, Roku, Apple TV), and cable boxes.
    • Output Displays: Standard televisions, computer monitors, and digital projectors.
